The Education And Social Movement Of Pondok Pesantren Maraqitta’limat In Mamben Wanasaba East Lombok

Abstract

The Maraqitta’limat Islamic Boarding School Foundation is a foundation that operates in the fields of religious outreach, education, and social welfare, established by TGH. Zainuddin Arsyad. The establishment of this Islamic Boarding School Foundation was motivated by a concern for the prevailing condition of society at that time, which lacked a comprehensive understanding of Islamic teachings. The aim of this research is to understand the influence of the social and political movement of the Islamic Boarding School Foundation in society. The research method used is qualitative research, as it obtains descriptive data in the form of words and does not involve numerical data. The relationship built with the community is through religious gatherings known as Al-Auradul Maraqiah and regular Islamic lectures held at each branch and sub-branch. The Maraqitta’limat Islamic Boarding School Foundation is a loyal partner to the government. Its greatest achievement is accompanying the government from the beginning to the end of its term.
